Launching websites with ease for clients2019-06-24T15:08:26+00:00

Project Description

While Purposeland is not a full-service website company, many of our clients have situations where they need a web solution but don’t need to do a large-scale development project offered by many companies that specialize in websites. Since 2018, we have partnered with our website developer in Long Beach, California – Marmon Designs – to provide revamped or new websites for various purposes using WordPress as the platform. While WordPress can’t always be the solution for large website projects, we’ve been able to meet the needs of our clients using customized WordPress themes. Marmon Designs also provides an affordable annual service and maintenance plan that serves our clients well.

Madison-Champaign County ESC

MCCESC had an outdated and challenging website that they built in-house using Wix. The site was not mobile-responsive and not user-friendly. We created a simple site for them that focused on what their audience was trying to accomplish when they visited. The site highlights clear calls-to-action and highlights information that is “quick-gets”. We also created an e-commerce platform for them on the site that allows them to now process online payments for their member districts.

Cleveland Heights-University Heights – Heights Career Tech

When we helped CH-UH re-brand their Heights Career Tech division in 2018, we gave them a modernized look to help them grow interest in their many career-technical programs. This past spring they wanted to continue to advance that cause by launching a more informative and user-friendly website that highlighted their new look.

Ohio Association of Career-Technical Superintendents (OACTS)

OACTS needed to do a website refresh badly. Their old site had last been created in the late 90s (insert big eye emoji)! Working with their new executive director, we first created a new brand for the small professional association that includes members from Ohio’s 49 career centers. Using footage our video production company partner had filmed from various Ohio career center’s, we created a short looping video to be the main visual focus of their new site. We also created a member’s only/password protected area and brought more focus to their services.

Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools – One Day Campaign

In creating a focused, retention campaign for their newly accepted Class of 2021, we recommended creating a micro-site to serve as the hub of the campaign. The site became the place we housed all episodes of their short web series “One Day” and also published episodes of their podcast “Beyond One Day”. We also made the micro-site utilitarian by placing information on the site for parents and new students such as their uniform store, special events, and their Remind text messaging sign-up. The site also highlights students who took part in the campaign and gives new students a special submission form where they can submit their future career goals.
